Experiencing Marine Wonders in Tampa, Florida

The quickest, cheapest, and easiest way to soak in the blue sea beauty of the Tampa area is to visit one of the many beaches open to the public. Fort De Soto Park offers over 1,100 acres of natural Florida wilderness that includes camping, hiking and biking trails, and swimming.




The shore is always beautiful, but have you ever wanted to venture further out into the bay? Tampa Bay is home to dolphins, sea turtles, and a host of other marine life. A boat tour can get you out on top of the waves where you can race dolphins and feel the sea air blowing through your hair. The Wild Dolphin Cruise, guided by one of the Florida Aquarium’s naturalists, takes visitors on a 75 minute cruise through Port Tampa Bay to see the myriad sea creatures that live there.




If you’d like to dive in a little deeper and get just a little closer to the marine wildlife of the Tampa area, snorkeling is a great option. With the Clearwater, Florida beaches just 30 minutes away you’ll have ample opportunity to view the crystal clear waters of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Just off the coast you’ll find a sunken fort from the Spanish American War, sunken ships, and a man made coral reef. The wildlife is plentiful and the weather is beautiful.
