10 Allergy Remedies You Can Make At Home

Tis the season for allergies.  This itchy eyes, tickly nose, and disturbed breathing that we all just love, right?  Not.  Here are some simple remedies you can get your daily fix with and help combat those allergies.

 

  1. Saline Solution.  A simple salt water solution can help cleanse your nose and relieve some of those nasal symptoms as a result of your allergies
  2. Hot Shower. Washing your hair and body can rinse off pollen that has collected on your body and remove it from y our hair where it can collect and stick.  This is a great thing to do if you get waken up in the night with an allergy attack.
  3. Note Air Quality. Polluted air can have toxins that cause or promote allergies.  If you suspect that these air pollutants trigger your allergy attacks, then spend as little time as possible outdoors, keep windows closed, and avoid cigarette smoke.
  4. Peppermint Tea.  Hot tea has been used for ages to remedy nasal decongestant.
  5. Breath Steam. Boil some water and put into a large bowl, then lean over the bowl with a towel over your head and breath gently for several minutes.  This can soothe your sinuses.
  6. Wash Pets.  Giving your pet a bath frequently. Allergens dissolve in water.

  8. Dehumidfy. Humid environments are an attraction for dust mites and lets them reproduce like crazy.  Try using a dehumidifier or an air conditioner. They can help prevent allergen and mold from growing.
  9. Snack on Wasabi. If you love Japanese food and also suffer from hay fever you will love this remedy.  Wasabi is part of the horseradish family and is known for making sinuses and tear ducts become more active.
